MADDELA, QUIRINO – DOST 02 thru Provincial Director Lucio G Calimag of DOST PSTC Quirino leads the Unveiling of the Digital clock awarded to MLGU-Maddela thru the effort of the MDRRMC Maddela in Maddela, Quirino on June 14, 2019.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 02 awarded a Prototype of Digital Clock set by the DOST PAG-ASA. This program is under the JuanTime Project – a project dubbed in a playword of “Juan” and “One”. This aims to increase awareness of the importance of time. A important resource and treasure that sometimes taken for granted.

“They say BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. Ang sabi ko naman, NEVER LATE IS BETTER. This clock will remind Filipinos the importance of time and to redefine the notorious national habit called FILIPINO TIME.” PD Calimag said in his message.

“The JuanTime digital clock is set by DOST PAGASA, the country’s official time keeper. It is a prototype that displays the Philippine Standard Time to avoid confusing and unsynchronised time.” He added.

Meanwhile, LDRRM Officer Edwin Besas extends his sincerest gratitude to DOST for awarding the clock and other LDRRM equipment such as flood warning device and automatic rain gauge.
